Emergency Flood Response at the House of Commons, Palace of Westminster

When flash flooding struck the Palace of Westminster in July 2021, the House of Commons Facilities Manager didn't search for a drainage contractor, he specifically requested LDF. Working across multiple affected rooms in a Grade I listed, fully occupied building, we deployed vacuum tanker units and wet vac machinery and restored the estate to full operation within a week.

  • Grade I listed building, fully occupied throughout, all works planned around live parliamentary operations
  • Simultaneous deployment at Newham General Hospital A&E on the same day, same storm event
  • Estate fully restored within one week with no permanent damage to building fabric
