Operations
Drainage Engineers and Engineer Assistants – Ref: OPS002
We are actively seeking experienced Drainage Engineers and Assistants to work across the LDF patch. This a full-time position specialising in a range of drainage disciplines. Providing services to both domestic and commercial customers.
Locations: London, Essex, South East
You will need to:
- Carry out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains including the use high pressure water jetting, jet vacuuming and blockage removal tools, confined space entries etc.
- Opportunities to specialise in confined space entries, lining and patch repairs, excavations and installations.
- Use of WinCan technology and CCTV surveying equipment
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality policies and procedures
- Maintain standard of company service vehicle and equipment
- Accurately record job details via internal and client systems
- Communicate effectively with clients and London Drainage Facilities colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
About you:
- A self-starter with a positive can-do-attitude
- Be flexible in your working hours (including participation in an out of hours “on call” rota)
- Ideally have relevant experience (continuous training will be provided)

Lining/Patch Repair Drainage Engineers – Ref: OPS001
We are actively seeking a specialist Lining/Patch Repair Drainage Engineer to work across the LDF patch. This is a full-time position and will involve you in providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers.
Locations: London, Essex, South East
You will need to:
- Carry out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains including the use high pressure water jetting, jet vacuuming and blockage removal tools
- Repairing defects in the sewer and drainage systems using specialist lining and patch repair techniques
- Use of WinCan technology and CCTV surveying equipment
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality policies and procedures
- Maintain standard of company service vehicle and equipment
- Accurately record job details via internal and client systems

Contracts Administrator – Ref: COM002
Due to the growth within the business, we are currently recruiting a full time Contracts Administrator to join our amazing team at LDF HQ in Ongar, Essex. Reporting into our PPM Manager, you will support the management and administration of pre-planned maintenance contracts across our large portfolio of clients.
Location: LDF head office, Ongar, Essex.
Salary: £20,000-£24,000 DOE
You will:
- Assist with the procurement for material across various projects, including delivery to site
- Draft documentation
- Review, develop and administer scope of work
- Respond to onsite requests from engineers
- Help manage and track project / job expenditure
- Program and scheduling management
- Data entry
- Answering and responding to emails from internal and external sources
- General administration
Skill set and experience:

Operations Support Administrator
Ref: OPS005
Location: LDF head office, Ongar, Essex.
Working hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 DOE
We are recruiting for an Operations Support Administrator with strong communication and organisation skills to join our Operations team at LDF HQ in Ongar, Essex.
In this role you will be working within a team to deliver effective day to day running of engineers schedules for planned work, meetings, deliveries and events. You will need to be confident digitally and have experience using Office 365.
You will be:
- Utilising ‘BigChange’ job management software to align and plan engineers schedules.
- Processing and actioning client purchase orders.
- Communicating with clients via telephone and email to respond to enquiries and arrange suitable appointments.
- Able to make decisions using information accurately, identifying problems quickly and within correct timeframe.
- Support with the ordering of work materials and arranging collection/returns of hired equipment.
- Producing and issuing purchase orders and proforma invoices.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks as requested by management and the operational team.
- Managing and monitoring the distribution and whereabouts of equipment.
Successful applicants must be able to drive and have their own vehicle to commute, due to the office’s remote location.
Estimator – Ref: COM001
We are currently on the lookout for a new Estimator to work alongside our Operations/Customer Services Departments. You will be mainly responsible for working out how much it is going to cost to supply the services we provide to our clients. At London Drainage Facilities, your typical work activities will involve:
- Researching and assessing information from a variety of sources in order to prepare accurate estimates
- Finding out what the client wants
- Researching materials, equipment and labour costs
- Collecting quotes from material suppliers and sub-contractors
- Planning job timescales
- Assessing the levels of risk on a project
- Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices, using software packages
- Preparing and submitting quotations for work
- Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities
- Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecast.
