How to Ensure Your Drains Are in Top Working Order
With the majority of people now working from home, drains all over London are facing an unprecedented amount of strain.
Many of us are now working from home. It can be easy to take things like drains for granted, or barely spare them a second thought. However, they could now be at risk of blockages and damage now you’re at home all day. Here’s how to take care of them, including investing in a drain survey!
Working from home
Right now, more and more people have started to work from home. For some people this has been a challenge, while others have embraced the lack of commuting and the chance to sleep in a little later! Whether you are enjoying working from home or not, there’s no doubt that we’re all using the facilities in our homes much more than we would have done before. We’re eating indoors all of the time now, we’re getting most of our exercise indoors, and so on.
Spare a thought for your drains
Chances are that while you have been working from home, you haven’t been thinking too much about your drains – until now! As we are now eating at home much more than we did a few weeks ago, that can lead to some unsuitable things finding their way down the drain. Of course, we’re using our sinks much more as we wash our hands throughout the day, as well as all of our other bathroom facilities.
We’re here to help
There’s no need to panic about your drains though, as we are here to help. As one of London’s most experienced drainage companies, we’re here to keep your drains in top working order. If you think that you could have a blockage, then please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We will be able to pay you a visit (keeping a healthy social distance, of course!) and identify the problem. With a wealth of tools and expertise, we will quickly be able to remove the blockage.
Our advice
We aren’t just here to give you practical help. We are also here to provide you with the advice you need to keep your drains in great condition while you work from home.
You should never put food down the drain, as fat and other food debris can form blockages. Using liquid soaps doesn’t cause a blockage directly, but they can bind together materials which will then lead to an obstruction. Last but not least, don’t flush wet wipes down the toilet! This is one of the biggest offenders.
Maintaining your drains
The easiest way of ensuring that you keep your drains in good working order is to invest in regular maintenance. Our CCTV surveys allow us to get a really good look at your drains, and if you invest in a maintenance plan, we will be on call to give you all the assistance you need, whenever you need it. Our ongoing protection will give you peace of mind twenty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
