London Drainage Facilities has welcomed a new Health & Safety Manager to its team who will help deliver the company’s mission to ensure the operations of the company are carried out the in the safest manner possible.

Duncan Bewley is a welcome addition to LDF’s influential drainage teams on the road and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.
He has more than 10 years of health and safety experience, which he will use to promote the company’s good work in this area and help reduce complications arising from any accidents and injuries which may occur.
Duncan, who worked previously as a Fire, Health & Safety specialist on film and TV sets will support LDF’s Managing Director, Danny Fuller.
His main focus will be to develop, maintain and promote LDF’s Health & Safety policies, expertise and services in order to deliver the company’s missions.
During his career, Duncan, who is also a trained animal handler with snakes and other reptiles, has been responsible for numerous auditing and risk assessments, outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards, and carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
He has also delivered health and safety education and training programmes within the public and private sectors and promoted health and safety initiatives.
Duncan said: “I am delighted to be joining one of London’s leading drainage companies. My health and safety career spans 10+ years and I am looking forward to using my knowledge and experience to help promote LDF’s work, particularly around developing its excavation side of the business. I am passionate about engineers’ safety and am keen to get stuck in and make a difference to our engineer teams on the road. I am really looking forward to my new role and excited about the challenges that lie ahead.”
