It can be worrying if you need to call a drain cleaning company if you have a blocked drain. Visions of them having to dig up you drive or completely replace the drainage system can be quite off-putting. If you have a blocked drain, there is no need to worry as the problem can usually be put down to a simple blockage of waste matter. This can be moved quite effectively using a high pressure water jet. If the blockage needs to be removed from the pipe completely it can usually be moved to a drain access point so it can then be removed by hand.

High pressure water jetting

To remove blockages in drains, water is pressurised and then jetted though the drainage system at pressures of up to 4000 pounds per square inch (Psi). This means that any grease or fatty deposits that may have built up on the inside of the pipework are also removed in the process. If the integrity of the drain is found to be compromised, there is still no need to worry as the pipe can often be repaired insitu by using a pipe liner. This causes a minimal amount of disruption and the drain can be used again quickly.
