Getting rid of roots from your drain pipes

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Life can be stressful enough without problems such as blocked drains adding to the strain. But unfortunately, drains can become blocked all too easily and this can be caused by a whole range of problems.

One problem which you may not consider is that of tree roots. But these can in fact cause a lot of damage to your drains and can be the reason for some serious blockages.

One way to treat this type of problem is with the use of jetting. High pressure water jets are really powerful and can be really effective when you are trying to remove root blockages.

As well as being used to break down and blast away grease and loose debris, the high pressure water jets can also blast dirty surfaces, resulting in cleaner drains that will be less likely to become blocked.

The water that comes through the water jet is jetting at 4000 Psi. As well as this, a water propelled spinning root cutter can cut back any roots that are growing in the pipe, meaning that the pipe no longer suffers a reduction in capacity. When carrying out these procedures, CCTV can be used to ensure that it has been successful.
