Drain management and drainage solutions
Friday, February 12th, 2010We all have drainage problems at some point in our lives. We might notice the water flow reducing when a sink is draining or perhaps notice flooding in the garden around a surface drain. Quite often we leave a problem until it gets really bad which is often not the best course of action to take. These problems occur because the drains are commonly hidden underground so are often forgotten about until an issue arises.
How can I solve my drain problems?
If you notice that your drain is taking longer than usual to take away the water, it could be due to the drain being blocked by waste debris or plant roots, or it might even be indicative of a more serious issue such as a structural problem with the drain pipe itself.
How can I find out what is wrong with my drain?
Drains need to be checked by a drain cleaning or maintenance company regularly so any problems can be quickly rectified if found. If the problem is simply a blockage drain jetting may be used, whereas if the structure of the pipe is compromised, a liner may be fitted into the drain so the drain is returned to its fully functioning capacity.
