CCTV surveys of drains are beneficial and effective

Drains are inaccessible to the eye but sometimes you need a complete view to avoid any internal damage. The reason for any sort of clogging has to be found out to solve the issue efficiently. Drain clogging is a serious problem and can pose a threat to a city’s safety and health.

A CCTV survey provides a comprehensive report of what is happening inside a drain. Drain maintenance can then be done only after knowing the exact cause of an issue.
Drain maintenance involves techniques such as drain jetting and root removal, drain repairs, lining and patch repair, de-scaling etc. A CCTV report includes video footage which gives an exact idea as to what’s happening inside the drain.

For any physical damage, a CCTV survey is a must to repair it without causing any further complications. Entangled roots can create a serious drain blockage and need to be cut and flushed away. Such a kind of tree root infiltration has to be done very carefully, causing no damage to the lining inside the drain. A spinning root cutter propelled with water is allowed in the drain to cut off the roots. The entire process is monitored with the help of CCTV to ensure the structure of the pipe inside is maintained.

Although a drainage system cannot be seen from the roads, these are among the most important parts of a city. Any problem with drainage pipes can lead to severe problems. CCTV monitoring thus becomes essential to keep the city clean and disease-free.
