CCTV Survey specialist London

Friday, June 20th, 2008

During mid may this year, we have aquired a another self levelling push rod camera surveying unit to help supply the demand for high quality DVD drainage surveys. The unit is extremly compact, offering an integral LCD flat screen monitor, accompanied with an equally compact coil reel fitted with 50 Mtrs of ultra flex push rod cable to travers the tightest of bends.

The latest edition also comes with a whisper Honda powered inevertor generator so power can be delivered at any time, in any place without delay.

Our main web page shows a few example surveys produced by London Drainage Facilities using Wincan reporting software, which has now become an industry standard for sewer condition reporting and inspection.

New Rain Water Drain Installation.

During Intsallation                                        Completion Of Installation:

The above photo’s show a typical rain water drainage installation which was carried out at a domestic residence in South West London during December 07. The customer was suffering damp to the front ground level bay window which was caused by water sitting within an area where no drainage was present. Norwich Union Insurance services instructed for a new section of drainage to be installed suitable to alleviate the existing damp problems. The excavation and installtion was completed 6 months agao, and damp has 100% stopped.

Drain Excavation/Repairs London

During excavation

After excavation

During works:                                                                    After works:

After recently attending an emergency call from a central London School, our engineers were quick to diagnose the cause of the blockage as broken section of pipe work which had begun to colapse. Unfortunatley the location of the broken drain was beyond a foundation wall in the caretakers office. We were instructed to carry out a manual drain repair by means of excavation, which required a tunelling team. Works commenced early on a Saturday morning and with four very commited engineers working as a great team, the drainage system was up and running late Sunday evening, allowing the School to re-open as normal Monday.

New Drain Tracing Technology

Friday, June 6th, 2008

After many years of using drain locating equipment, we have finally found a system which offers tracing to a depth of 8 Metres, with an accuracy or 200mm

A small sond is sent through the drain to be traced, propelled by either High Pressure Water, or standard drain rods. Once the sond is within the vicinity of the section of pipe to be traced, the hand held locating device is passed over the ground showing a mapping system on the screen. The map guidance feature eventually plots the drain line ready for excavtion/repair.

We have recently completed two major excavtions based upon the guidance of this equipment, and in both cases the excavtions proved pin point accurate, thus minimising disruption and unnecessary excavation.

Structural Drain Lining – The Concept

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

London Drainage Facilities have become one of London’s largest installers on structural resin drain liners. The basic princeple is to install an internal structural collar within a failing/damaged pipe. Over the next few weeks we will be updating the site with more information regarding the method and products used by London Drainage Facilities Limted.
