Thames Water recently reported finding the biggest fatberg in the country scaling the size of a red London double-decker bus within drains in Kingston, Surrey. However, London Drainage Facilities (LDF) says it’s not these huge fatbergs that should be concerning home and business owners; its the smaller fatbergs forming in drainage networks underneath their properties.

London Drainage Facilities (LDF) has successfully renewed its accreditation from the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) to act as drainage suppliers for its customers. CHAS is a market leader for Health and Safety pre-qualification in the UK and being CHAS registered gives buyers confidence that a supplier is able to meet their Health & Safety requirements. More importantly, CHAS registration saves buyers time and money when it comes to checking out a supplier’s suitability as CHAS has done all the work for them.

The brand new VW Crafter, one of the largest service vehicles to be added to the company’s fleet has already been thrown into action to help deal with your drainage problems. The recent acquisition follows continued growth for the company in 2013, with another 2 service vehicles planning to be put into action before year end.

It has now been 1 year on since London Drainage Facilities (LDF) introduced its unique PDA Communication System, the first of its kind to enter the drainage industry. The bespoke job management system enables customers to keep track of their drainage issue from initial call right through to job completion, and provides real time job progress information for both customers and LDF. So far, it looks like a worthwhile investment.
